We’ve helped individuals and teams in just about every sport on the elite level as well as college, youth, and high school. Wherever athletes are preparing to compete, EXOS specialists are helping them get there — from club team tryouts and high school championships to renowned events like NFL combine, the Olympics, and the World Cup.


    We're seeking an experienced Director of Health and Wellness to join our team. As our new Director of Health and Wellness you will:

    • Hire, supervise, mentor and evaluate department managers. Direct Management of  the Performance and Wellness Manager, the Membership Concierge Team, Aquatics, Massage, Sports/Rec, and the Youth/Teen Departments.
    • Oversee EXOS Strategic Planning and implementation.
    • Directly oversees Innovative Health and Wellness Programming and Execution
    • Partner with Executive Leadership Team on Retention Initiatives.
    • Participate and contribute in client leadership and programming meetings.
    • Be the Center Cultural Ambassador for EXOS Team.
    • Develop department goals and budgets and monitor for progress monthly as a part of client monthly operations updates as measured against annual goals for all departments.
    • Complete P/L influence and control.
    • Commit to embracing and encouraging the client leadership’s vision.
    • Support managers by responding to emergent program and member requests, staff needs, scheduling and acting as marketing liaison for all health and wellness recruitment/retention programs and strategies.
    • Ensure excellent customer service and customer responsiveness to both inside and outside constituents.
    • Understand and be committed to the mission and vision of the Center. Be knowledgeable about the Jewish Community Center (JCC), its programs, services, and offerings. Be an advocate for the JCC, its programs and team. 
    • Have a strong understanding of Jewish customs, practices and culture.
    • Interact with client management on a daily/weekly basis to enhance communications and build a positive client/vendor relationship.




    Required Qualifications: 

    • 7+ years of Senior level leadership in luxury, hotel, spa, fitness, or community center management.
    • Proven excellence in relationship building skills.
    • Strong leadership, interpersonal,  and supervisory skills as well as excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in fitness or business-related fields.


    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Previous experience working in a Jewish Community Center, synagogue, or Jewish cultural center.
    • Demonstrated success in increasing programming participation in both for profit and not for profit environments.
    • Previous experience providing unsurpassable customer service where clients were on a first-name basis.
    • Scheduling flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends to support programming.    
    • Successful track record managing sales, personal/small group training, operations, group programming and customer service.
    • Ability to anticipate, manage, and solve operational issues on a regular, and daily, basis.
    • Highly skilled in Google Docs, Excel, as well as proven ability to work with different CRM systems (i.e., CSI, Spectrum).
    • Outgoing and genuine personality.
    • Must be available to work nights and weekends when needed.
