    The Business Manager is responsible for resolving member issues, collecting on returned accounts, implementing and overseeing all financial transactions, operations, and reports, processing EFT/ACH transactions, submitting payroll reports, and acting as a point person for Active software operations.  


    This person will oversee the checks and balances related to daily financial transactions and software operations, and will support the GM and other staff with solutions to software issues.


    This person is responsible for being fully knowledgeable about the Center and its operations, programs, and services. 





    • Oversee all departmental financial transaction/operational procedures by assisting with development of those procedures, with hands-on training and evaluation of staff directly involved in the processes.
    • Reconcile register and shift reports, overseeing all financial system controls.
    • Prepare and process bank deposits with internal report for the GM review.
    • Perform monthly billing/invoicing.
    • Manage accounts receivable/collections process.
    • Oversee all member records, including updates, billing changes, policy administration, etc.
    • Oversee all accounts payable functions.
    • Reconcile bank statements for all accounts monthly.
    • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly club reports as needed.
    • Work with other department managers on departmental financial analysis and review.
    • Assist in review and submission of bi-monthly payroll.
    • Participate in Center and community events as needed.
    • Perform various other specific duties and assignments as necessary or required.
    • Participate in Manager on Duty rotation.
    • Other duties as assigned.


    Required Qualifications

    • Minimum of two years previous experience in a similar role.
    • Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field. 

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Exhibit the ability to resolve complaints and analyze information.
    • Extremely personable, professional, and hard-working with exceptions organizational skills.
    • Proven ability to utilize computer software, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), Email, Internet.
    • Current CPR and AED certification (can be acquired)

    Physical Requirements

    • Requires long periods of standing or sitting.
    • Moderate use of computer terminal screen, right or left hand use, Typing.
    • Grasping and gripping movements
    • Ability to lift 50 lbs.  Some lifting may require additional assistance from another staff person. Employee expected to use discretionary judgment and ask for assistance from another employee if an item is perceived to be too heavy to lift without assistance.
    • Use of personal safety equipment required.
    • Frequent use of chemicals, including cleaning and laundry supplies.
    • Continuous exposure to moderate to loud noise.
    • Occasional exposure to bodily fluids.
    • Occasional lifting, pulling, climbing, kneeling, and bending.
