    More than 60,000 U.S. military special operations forces have used EXOS’ programs to train, improve, and recover. Through easy-to-implement solutions, including education and tactical training programs, we help service members become more empowered and more prepared to do their jobs. We focus on movement and injury-prevention strategies that service members can apply to both combat and noncombat situations, supporting career longevity without deteriorating their bodies.



    • Evaluate current training materials (e.g., lesson plans, interactive multimedia instruction (IMI), tests, and modeling/simulation/emulators) to suggest improved methods of providing training.
    • Enhance student classroom exercises to improve retention and understanding of performance objectives.
    • Identify current obstacles to learning and retention.
    • Develop and validate more efficient classroom designs.
    • Look for existing DoD and GOTs materials that can be used to enhance training either directly or through slight modifications.
    • Identify DoD and industry best-practices regarding use of educational technology; provide training development personnel the tools and training to leverage these advantages.
    • Provide assistance in development of critical thinking scenarios that tie academics to performance objectives. The use of facilitated classroom discussions and competency-based instruction shall be explored.



    • Consult with Faculty Development to identify identified gaps in instructor training courses; assist in development of new instructor training modules (e.g., how to effective train using scenario-based training, operational exercises, IMI, etc.)
    • Evaluate overall instructor development program; enhance instructional team training.
    • Develop a professional development roadmap for first-time instructors to maximize career progression for all instructors.
    • Assist in developing instructor training to facilitate research guided-research/discovery (Socratic) learning.
    • Provide instructor training to better facilitate career field focused student discussions.
    • Provide instructors with counseling/mentoring tools to overcome obstacles to student learning and retention.


    Required Qualifications:

    • 3 to 10 years’ experience
    • BA/BS, MA/MS or PhD from an accredited college or university in the field of psychology, counseling or kinesiology with a specialized emphasis in sport and/or performance psychology.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Preferred qualifications include certified consultant status with the Association for Applied Sports Psychology and education/experience with a specialized focus on Sports Psychology with a general knowledge of Kinesiology and Psychology.
