Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a Payroll Manager to join our corporate team in Florham Park, NJ.

The primary responsibilities of the Payroll Manager are:

  • Coordinate the processing of regular weekly payrolls, semi-monthly payrolls and special payrolls for over 3,000 employees in more than 500 locations in 42 states throughout the United States and Canada
  • Collaborate closely with the Finance and Benefits teams to ensure accurate reporting (including general ledger) and cross-functionality
  • Act as a leader on the HR team, providing expert, fast and friendly service
  • Pay employees by directing the production and issuance of paychecks, paycards and electronic transfers to bank accounts
  • Determine payroll liabilities by approving the calculation of employee federal and state income and social security taxes, and employer's social security, unemployment, and worker’s compensation payments
  • Develop, implement and monitor payroll policies and guidelines
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal legislation, regulations and requirements
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing professional networks
  • Manage scheduling policies and procedures for more than 2,000 employees
  • Manage payroll associates

Qualifications

Required Qualificaitons:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance or business related field or progressive payroll leadership work history.
  • 3+ Years of payroll experience 
  • 1+ Years of proven leadership in the management of others and or a department
  • Comprehensive knowledge of payroll tax and benefits related laws and regulations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Knowledge of the Ceridian/Dayforce Payroll System.
