We are currently seeking a Fitness Manager to join our team.


As our new Fitness Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Establishing and maintaining a solid client relationship.
  • Development of annual strategic plan for the Personal Training Department and attainment of short- and long-term Department program goals.
  • Budget management and reporting on a regularly basis (i.e., weekly).
  • Managing and entering payroll for Personal Training Department in a timely and accurate basis.
  • Hiring, training and supervision of full and part time personal training staff; Staff development and performance management.
  • Successful management of personal training and small group/team training exercise programs and departments.
  • Maintenance and upkeep of all exercise equipment, equipment repair logs, and relationship with equipment repair vendors.
  • Development, delivery and evaluation of health promotion, incentive and other specialty programs on a monthly basis to support overall program needs.
  • Performing fitness assessments, determining exercise prescriptions and conducting first workouts for a diverse population, including high risk exercise participants.
  • Scheduling, supervising and monitoring fitness center floor and floor staff to ensure 100% coverage.
  • Providing administrative support to members, including membership enrollments, terminations and general inquiries.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 2 years management experience overseeing a large staff in a community/ commercial/ hospitality/ corporate/ medical, or other related fitness industry setting.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Related Field (Kinesiology, Exercise Science, etc.)
  • Current nationally recognized accredited personal training certification

Preferred Qualifications: 

  •      Outgoing personality and excellent communication skills
  •      CPR/AED certified or ability to obtain certifications prior to hire
