Responsibilities

We're seeking a Membership Sales Manager to lead the Membership Team.

 

As our new Membership Sales Manager you will:

  • A membership sales manager will be an expert in sales, provide leadership, sales support, education, and training for the Membership Sales team
  • Manage Membership team productivity and performance, lead tracking systems, sales processes, systems, and tools
  • Develop strategy and plans for outreach and lead generating activities; and ensure execution on those plans on an annual, monthly, weekly and daily basis
  • Develop and implement contingency plans, making certain that individual and team objectives are achieved
  • Respond to telephone, walk-ins and e-mail membership inquiries; book and maintain accurate records
  • Develop annual marketing plan in conjunction with support team, ensuring execution of tactics
  • Provide all potential members and guests with an enthusiastic and informative facility presentation based on individual needs; Empower and educate on the benefits of health and wellness as well as incorporating all of the features of the facility
  • Recruit, hire and train all sales staff
  • Report membership sales results as requested by General Manager and/or Regional Director
  • Develop strategy for corporate and group membership sales
  • Achieve membership sales goals
  • Work closely with fitness team to ensure successful on-boarding of new members
  • Innovate ways to retain members and increase usage of facility
  • Create community presence by actively engaging in community events and organizations

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a Fitness related field required
  • Minimum of 2 years of sales/membership experience and demonstration of meeting and exceeding goals

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with external marketing techniques. (e-mail distribution and grass roots "guerilla marketing")
  • Extremely personable, professional, and hard-working with exceptional organizational skills
  • Proficiency in using computer software, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), Email, Internet
  • Ability to speak in front of large audiences
