We're seeking a Facilities Technician to oversee facilities operations, maintenance and reparis for all equipment. To assist members and quests with any needs through a high level of awareness and customer service.  



The Facilities Technician will:


  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness throughout the facility at all times
  • Repair all equipment not in operational standing
  • Operate department per center standards and budgetary guidelines
  • Oversee IT, sound system and A/V operations for the building
  • Develop strategic plan for department savings
  • Oversee inventory of all supplies
  •  Support and oversee all aquatic operations - in conjunction with current systems - will be provided training on salt water systems ( one lap pool, one hot tub, one group exercise pool)
  • Make and track purchases through procurement process, with particular attention to detail vs budget
  • Perform preventive maintenance of all equipment
  • Coordinate repair of equipment as needed, make minor repairs as able
  • Act in CPO capacity, overseeing pool and whirlpool testing, repairs and maintenance
  • Maintain tool inventory 
  • Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and locker room amenities
  • Keep equipment, closets and dispensaries clean and organized
  • Provide exceptional service to all clients at all times through customer-centric behavior
  • Follow and fill out daily maintenance procedures checklist for your shift
  • Follow center operational policies and procedures
  • Participate in all trainings and meetings as needed
  • Assist with special events, projects, and programs as needed
  • Assist in center operations as needed
  • Ensure that all equipment is properly functioning through preventive maintenance, repair and cleaning
  • Perform daily facility walk through, immediately addressing any needs


  Required Qualifications: 


  • High School degree or GED equivalent
  • Building repairs experience
  • Certified Pool Operator license required, can obtain within 30 days of hire
  • Minimum of five years previous experience in a similar role managing facility maintenance and repairs
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience using computer software, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), Email, Internet


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Active Electrical license
  • Exhibit the ability to resolve complaints and analyze information
  • Extremely personable, professional, and hard-working with exceptional organizational skills
  • Experience with fitness equipment repairs, preventative maintenance is highly preferred
  • Pool Operations - CPO Certified preferred


Physical Requirements:

  • Requires long periods of standing or sitting
  • Moderate use of computer terminal screen, right or left hand use, typing
  • Grasping and gripping movements
  • Use of personal safety equipment required
  • Frequent use of chemicals, including cleaning and laundry supplies
  • Continuous exposure to moderate to loud noise
  • Occasional exposure to bodily fluids
  • Occasional lifting, pulling, climbing, kneeling, and bending
  • Exposure to electric and motor parts
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently and frequently during the work day.  Some lifting may require additional assistance from another staff person. Employee expected to use discretionary judgment and ask for assistance from another employee if an item is perceived to be too heavy to lift without assistance
